For fans of the British Sports Car Marque Lotus, your probably aware that the Series Two Elise and Exige halted production early 2011 because Toyota stopped producing the 2ZZ-GE engine that powered most of the Elise/Exige line up and their waiver to build and sell cars in the U.S. without smart airbags expired in August of 2011. In response, Lotus has come up with a newly redesigned Exige to meet stricter world wide safety standards and to utilize the V6 engine out of the Evora S.
This particular one isn't street legal though. It's meant for track use only. It's the hardcore, stripped down version of the Exige S made only for the US market. With only a handful of these being made a year, it's definitely worth it. Lotus hopefully has plans in the works to bring a street legal version of the Series Three Exige to the US but for now, this is all we get.
